Our story

A small local team with serious animal expertise

Cam's Dog Club is run by a small team of Club Leaders — Cam, Katie and Zoe — three dedicated animal lovers with years of combined expertise and a shared love of dogs.

Everyone at the Club is first-aid certified and undertakes regular continuing professional development in dog training and animal care. That combination of qualification, curiosity and everyday hands-on experience is what shapes how we work with every dog.

    Cameron Pocock

    Founder and Club Leader

    I get involved in every aspect of the dog club. My passion is canine behaviour, focussing on developing optimistic and engaged dogs through training and play. Working with dogs all day is a dream come true. I'm currently studying for certification as a Canine Behaviourist and train my own dogs in agility and hoopers.

    • First Class BSc in Zoology with a focus on animal behaviour
    • More than seven years working with dogs as a daycare manager, walker and trainer
    • Previous experience in veterinary practices, wildlife rehabilitation, SPCA kennels and research centres
    • Currently studying towards certification as a Canine Behaviourist

    I've been walking and caring for dogs professionally for more than two years now and have loved every minute with them all. My favourite thing is learning their individual personality traits and developing unique bonds with the dogs in my care. I currently train for fun in Hoopers and compete in Flyball with my dog Zula.

    I've always worked with animals and love giving the best experience to every pet in my care. I treat every animal with love as if it was my own. I've owned dogs for as long as I can remember and love nothing more than walking and playing with dogs every day.

    Years of hands-on experience combined with formal study in zoology and animal behaviour, and regular continuing professional development across the team.

    All of the team at the Club are first-aid certified, so your dog is in capable hands if anything unexpected happens.

    We focus on positive reinforcement and continuous learning, developing optimistic, engaged dogs through training and play.

  • Safety and welfare first

    Every dog is thoroughly assessed before joining a group, with ongoing behavioural management and transport in professionally crated dog vans.

  • Community focus

    Cam's Dog Club is more than a service provider. We're a community, with a members-only Facebook group and a friendly, supportive environment for dogs and owners alike.

  • Dedicated care

    We treat every pet as if they were our own, giving them the attention, patience and affection they deserve.

Our home ground

The secure meadow

Our Club Walks are held in a private, secure three-acre meadow on the edge of Soham. It's maintained with trees and bushes, wildflowers in spring, interesting smells and plenty of play equipment including trampolines and agility jumps. Dog paradise.

Where we work

Serving Soham and the surrounding villages

Our walking and pet-care services are offered in Soham, Fordham, Wicken, Burwell. Dog drop-in visits may occasionally be possible a little further afield, depending on timings and dates.
